In November, GPG (the international electricity generation subsidiary of Naturgy) opened its Crookwell II Wind Farm in New South Wales, inside the ATC (Australian Capital Territory) and only 90 kilometres from Canberra, the Australian capital.
The Regional Government of Victoria in Australia announced the award to GPG of a total 180 MW of power output for the construction of a wind farm located 150 km from the State capital, Melbourne. This is the first inorganic investment by the Naturgy group since the presentation of its strategic plan 2018-2022.
Global Power Generation Australia (GPG) has chosen GE to supply and install wind turbines in one of the largest renewable energy regions in Australia. Once it is finished in 2018, the Crookwell 2 Wind Farm will produce an energy supply equivalent to the electricity consumption of 41,600 homes in Canberra.
