Naturgy has helped with the reconstruction of the house of culture, toilets and the multimodal court of the Santa Martha Children’s Recreation Centre (CRI) in Juchitán de Zaragoza (Mexico). A new outdoor gym and a children’s playground have also been installed.
As part of the activities of the Bií Hioxo Wind Farm’s community development area (Laanu Group), a forestation project was carried out with the Año de Juárez Primary School in the Seventh Section neighbourhood of Juchitán, as a way of doing environmental education activities through experiential education.
The activities financed by the Oaxaca-Mexican Wind Energy Association (AMDEE) Reconstruction Fund, which the Bií Hioxo Wind Farm is involved in, saw the launch of the Diploma for the training and accreditation of professional skills for the management of post-traumatic stress at the facilities of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec Institute of Higher Studies of (IESIT).
As part of its corporate responsibility policy, Bií Hioxo has made a commitment to help its owners and employees following the earthquake on the Isthmus of Tehuantepec in September. This support will be used to facilitate the reconstruction of homes following the earthquake that has been since followed by several aftershocks.
