Environmental Management and Governance

Commitment to environmental sustainability stands as a core pillar of GPG’s operations, reflecting its alignment with environmental protection in every aspect of its activities and across its organizational structure.

GPG has established its own Sustainability Committee, made up of the CEO and the heads of each business area.

In this way, GPG demonstrates a strong commitment to responsible environmental management, based on leadership from senior management and the implementation of environmental policies and management systems aligned with international standards to minimize the impact of its operations. As evidence of this commitment to environmental governance, the following indicators have been defined in the plan:

Equator Principles

GPG ensures compliance with the Equator Principles as a reference framework for environmental and social management across all its projects, both new and operational. As a company with external financing, it integrates these principles into its processes to guarantee compliance with international standards (IFC and World Bank), rigorous impact assessments, and the implementation of robust environmental and social management systems. In addition, it promotes the active participation of stakeholders by establishing accessible grievance mechanisms and ensures independent review and transparency through periodic reporting. This environmental governance enables us to mitigate impacts, strengthen climate resilience and contribute to sustainable development in the communities where we operate.
