Bií Hioxo Wind Farm has donated a high-capacity motor to the “Che Cata” Fisheries Cooperative to increase the power of the boats used for their fishing activities.
The “Che Cata” Fisheries Cooperative is located in Playa Vicente, a community belonging to the municipality of Juchitán de Zaragoza (Oaxaca, Mexico), 5 km from our wind farm. The cooperative has 26 boats which are used for their main source of income, fishing. The community needed to purchase an outboard motor to withstand a capacity of 186.5 kg to install in the boat.
GPG Mexico has responded to the request to supply the motor so the fishermen of the “Che Cata” Fisheries Cooperative can install it on a vessel and use it in case of an accident at sea.
