Computer Systems Engineering Students Visit the Naco Nogales CCC (Sonora, Mexico)

In early March, the Naco Nogales combined cycle power plant had the opportunity to host a visit from a group of Computer Systems Engineering students from the Instituto Tecnológico de Agua Prieta.

During the visit, the students toured the facilities and participated in an informative session led by Fernando Alcaraz Coronado, from the Systems department, and José Carlos Satarain Navarro, who shared their experience and knowledge about the systems used in the plant.

Thanks to their guidance, the students were able to gain deeper insights into key aspects such as the plant’s infrastructure, the operation of computational systems that optimize performance, and the role of technology in the efficient production of energy.

Beyond exploring the technical aspects of power generation, this visit represented a valuable opportunity for students to become familiar with the work environment and organizational culture of the company.

Through these initiatives, GPG not only open their doors to young talent but also contribute to the development of future professionals, providing them with a clearer perspective on the impact of their field of study in the energy sector.
