GPG Mexico has set up a book section at CCC Tuxpan III & IV to encourage employees and their families to engage in reading and donate books of all genres.
Among the first selection of titles available, participants could find a wide variety of works — the goal being to promote diversity and increase participation among employees.
Each participant was invited to choose a book that inspired them and, once finished, share their thoughts about it so others could become interested in reading it in the future. Children’s books were also included to turn reading into a family activity and encourage parents to share the experience with their children, highlighting the positive impact that reading has on younger generations.

“A very good initiative, there are some really interesting books. I’ll take Harry Potter to read with my daughters” said one participant.
To keep the initiative growing, participants were encouraged to donate books in good condition to expand the available collection. This created a sort of community library — built and sustained by the employees themselves — that serves as a meeting point for sharing the joy of reading with others.
The response was immediate and overwhelmingly positive. Starting with 66 books donated by Fernando García (Plant Manager) and Martha Luz Suárez (former Plant Manager), the collection quickly grew to a total of 72 books covering all genres and age groups.

“What an interesting initiative! I’ll bring some books from home to donate” commented another participant.
The impact of this initiative has been remarkable — not only fostering the reading habit among employees and their families but also strengthening the sense of community through the shared enjoyment of stories.
Reading is a powerful tool for personal growth and transformation, regardless of age.
