The team from the Bií Hioxo Wind Farm took a break from their daily routine to enjoy a day of hiking in Nizanda, combining physical exercise, nature, and great company.
From early in the morning, participants followed the rocky trails that wind through Nizanda, tracing a clear river all the way to the hot springs — the perfect setting to reconnect with nature and clear the mind.
Although some parts of the route were challenging and uneven, teamwork and mutual support were key to completing the hike successfully.
Exercise plays a fundamental role in maintaining both physical and mental health, especially for those who spend long hours sitting in an office, and incorporating some form of daily physical activity becomes essential.
It helps release stress, relaxing the body and the mind, having numerous benefits for everyday well-being.

At the end of the day, participants shared how much they had enjoyed taking part in an activity that was both healthy and social. Surrounded by nature, they exchanged stories and moments of reflection that helped them unwind and recharge.
The day was devoted to replenishing energy and reinforcing the importance of emotional and physical well-being to maintain balance and motivation.

Aimed at strengthening teamwork, communication, and collaboration, this activity aligns with the principles of NOM-035-STPS, reaffirming GPG Mexico’s commitment to mental health and the preservation of natural reserves in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec. It also promotes the creation of spaces that foster connection — both among people and with the environment
In the workplace, developing a model that values people and their well-being is key to building a community that is both connected and integrated with its surroundings.
