From September 8 to 12, GPG Mexico held its Health, Safety, Environment and Wellbeing Week across the CCC Hermosillo, Norte Durango, Tuxpan, and Naco-Nogales facilities, with the active participation of employees and collaborators
Under the motto “Your Health, Your Priority,” the initiative aimed to highlight the importance of health and prevention within the organization, strengthening the preventive culture, encouraging self-care, and promoting safe and healthy work environments.
Activities included exercises to identify trip and fall hazards, recognition of safety culture through the concept “Cultural Evolution: Guardian of Others”, and a talk on the Bradley Curve, focused on promoting interdependence in occupational safety.
The sessions also featured training on fire extinguisher use (CCC Tuxpan), a fire and rescue drill in confined spaces and at height (CCC Hermosillo), a Fire Department conference on building evacuation (CCC Naco-Nogales), the animated dissemination of the Internal Emergency Plan, and a snake and reptile handling workshop (CCC Durango).
In collaboration with the IMSS, the week also included health and vaccination campaigns, medical talks on various pathologies, mental health, nutrition, and vital signs assessments, and wellbeing activities such as active breaks and sports tournaments.
Environmental actions featured the reforestation of more than 40 trees, talks on recycling and waste management, and sustainable commitments such as the mural “Leave Your Mark” and the distribution of trees for families to plant at home.
As part of its social responsibility efforts, a chlorine gas emergency KIT B was donated to the Hermosillo Fire Department, and collaboration with the Miika Foundation supported the promotion of organ and tissue donation.
