From the Hermosillo Combined Cycle Central (CCC), GPG Mexico has donated a Kit B to the Hermosillo Firefighters Board for the city’s Fire Department. This donation helps strengthen the response to incidents involving chlorine and improves the protection of firefighters and the community.
Through collaboration with the Firefighters Board, training, equipment, and logistical support are promoted—making a difference in every service to the community. A partnership consolidated over time, always aiming to protect life and the environment with actions that improve response capacity and prevention.
What is a Kit B and why is it so important?
The Kit B is specialized equipment designed to contain chlorine gas leaks in one-ton containers, built according to the recommendations of the Chlorine Institute.
It includes devices and tools to seal leaks in valves, fusible plugs, and the container’s side wall. Its purpose is to control emergencies, reduce exposure to risk, and protect people and the environment until safe conditions are restored.
This delivery adds to the ongoing collaboration with the Hermosillo Fire Department, which the Hermosillo CCC has supported with donations of equipment and rescue and emergency response tools in recent years.
