As part of its presence in educational forums, GPG Mexico shared with attending students the foundations and results of its Social Engagement Model (MRS), applied at the Bií Hioxo Wind Farm.
The MRS is a fundamental tool for establishing solid, mutually beneficial ties with communities, guided by the Corporate Responsibility Policy approved by the Board of Directors in 2019. Based on this, within the framework of the energy transition and responses to climate change, the efficient operation of renewable projects and the generation of social value are integrated.
As part of the efforts to promote this model, the Social Engagement team took part in two spaces dedicated to academic and scientific exchange, as part of their commitment to sustainable development and their close relationship with the communities where GPG Mexico operates.
On one hand, they attended the National Science and Technology Week of DGETI 2025, a virtual presentation attended by more than 30 students from the Center for Technological, Industrial and Service Studies in San Francisco del Oro (Chihuahua).
During the presentation, the importance of interculturality and knowledge of the traditions of Indigenous peoples was highlighted as part of the scientific and social approach that shapes the model.
Evgueni Tadeo Vicente López, project coordinator, explained the implementation of the MRS in Juchitán.

They also took part in the Third UNITSMO 2025 Graduate Student Congress, held at the University of the Isthmus.
There, the person in charge of the Nacanu’ Bií Community House, Daniela Mayoral, shared how the MRS works when applied to stakeholder groups linked to the Wind Farm.
More than 60 students and professors from the Renewable Energy Graduate Program attended the talk.

Thanks to these actions, a bridge of trust and dialogue is created, strengthening the social fabric and encouraging the formation of agents of change among new generations.
