On September 12, KUEPONI’s Environmental Fair with a participation of up to 30 collaborators, a social volunteering event hosted at GPG Mexico’s facilities.
As part of a social and environmental strategy aimed at generating a positive impact in the areas where we operate, an event was organized to offer participants the opportunity to reflect, learn, and also have fun.
During the activity, participants learned first-hand about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and reflected on how the decisions we make can positively or negatively influence their achievement.
To make the explanations more dynamic, the activity took place on a giant game board, turning the experience into a game of questions and challenges about the circular flow of resources. This encouraged reflection on positive actions that can be adopted at home, such as reusing, repairing, sharing, or recycling.
By solving challenges and answering questions, participants were able to reinforce sustainable habits for daily life and gain a deeper understanding of why these practices are key to continued progress.
In addition to learning the basics of the recycling process — enabling them to apply it in their everyday routines — the session also covered composting as a practical activity that can be carried out at home.
Participants learned how to create an effective and sustainable compost system in an accessible way, along with tips for starting an urban garden that can be managed in small spaces such as homes. Infographics were shared on how to prepare different seeds and grow foods like lemons and chili peppers.
The experience was highly enriching for everyone involved, raising awareness about the importance of caring for the environment and its resources, and emphasizing the impact this has on our lives.
