Guimarânia I and II photovoltaic plants celebrate Arbor Day (Minas Gerais, Brazil)

On 21 September (the beginning of spring in the southern hemisphere) Arbor Day,was celebrated in Brazil,  an event that celebrates the beauty of trees and promotes environmental sustainability.

The objectives of the actions carried out on this day include increasing the number of trees in forests, promoting vegetation cover, and combating climate change.

 

Activities carried out at our photovoltaic plants Guimarânia I and II

At the photovoltaic plants Guimarânia I and II photovoltaic plants, last Friday 20 September a symbolic planting activity was conducted featuring five  Ipê Roxo trees. The activity included a talk on the importance of trees and the environmental benefits they provide.

Another of the activities held to celebrate Arbor Day was a walk through the area designated for the Technical Project for the Reconstitution of Flora of the plant. A space of 2 hectares where almost 3.000 seedlings have been planted. The aim was to have vegetation cover and reduce the impact of the plant installation.

At the end of the walk, the 38 employees in attendance enjoyed a convivial gathering.
