Some of the activities involved the donation of food and toys to the communities of Abraham González and Carlos Real, both neighbouring our facilities.
The donations were made during winter and many of the children in these communities were delighted to receive the gifts.
In conjunction with the Durango municipal DIF (public body in charge of coordinating the National System of Public and Private Social Welfare) we donated wheelchairs, canes and walkers to people with disabilities.
These actions help in some cases to significantly improve the lives of the beneficiaries and their families, as it allows the recovery of a high percentage of mobility.
At the Benito Juárez primary school in the Abraham González community, improvements and refurbishments were made to the facilities so that the children have decent spaces for study and safe leisure time.
We delivered breakfasts to the students of the Benito Juárez school prior to their attendance of a municipal competition of interpretation of the national anthem and exhibition of national symbols.
We thank our GPG colleagues in Norte Durango for their willingness to work together to build a more sustainable, peaceful and equitable environment for our neighbours.
