The Hermosillo CCP (Sonora, Mexico) promotes education in Hermosillo with a donation of school materials

The “Nueva Creación” school and “Colegio de Estudios Científicos y Tecnológicos” of Sonora, Mexico,  have received various materials and equipment from the Hermosillo combined cycle power plant (CCP). This initiative seeks to help young people develop and complete their studies.

Donation to “Nueva Creación” school

The “Nueva Creación” primary school, to which the GPG Mexico team has donated 9 projectors and a microphone this year to support the education of the pupils in the classrooms, is located in the “La Choya” district (Hermosillo, Mexico).

The future plans for this school include the reforestation project in 2023 and the donation of some baskets and sets of goalposts that were in the power plant to promote the culture of health care and the importance of physical activity and sports among the children.

Donation of maintenance material for the Cecytes system in “Hermosillo Campus I”

As part of the commitment to young people, in this case secondary school students, we also donated maintenance materials (painting, cleaning, pruning, etc.), office supplies, cables and electrical equipment to the “Colegios de Estudios Científicos Tecnológicos” system in the “Hermosillo Campus I”.

The Director, Dr  Blanca Aurelia Valenzuela, thanked GPG for supporting the campus, showcasing the company’s values and striving to provide dignified and comprehensive education.

“This is our new way of being, with our corporate values — simplicity, vitality, competence and respect — as our main pillars. And all this is reflected in our daily work, because the people at Naturgy are helpful, enterprising, approachable and sensitised”, said Rodolfo Coronado, Safety and Operation Guarantee technician in the Generation department.
