The support granted will enable these young people to have the necessary means to continue learning and developing.
An event, attended by staff from the distance learning programme, parents and community authorities, was held for the awarding of the grants. A cheque for $780,639 Mexican pesos was handed over to the families of 87 High school students and 6 university students so that their children can continue their studies.
The recipients of the scholarships said that “Thanks to this support, many of us are able to continue our studies and achieve the goals we set out to achieve. “This support will offer numerous students the opportunity to enhance their academic pursuits by providing resources, such as school supplies”.
Our colleague Carlos Villegas Aguirre, representative of the Tuxpan Combined Cycle Power Plant and the Solidarity Day Association, praised the awards and the work of all those involved in this great solidarity project.
At GPG Mexico we are proud to carry out actions that improve the lives of people in the communities near our area of influence.
