In Mexico, backyard plant and animal production in rural areas is one of the most deeply rooted activities, although in most cases it is carried out empirically and with the main objective of self-sufficiency.
This is why GPG Mexico implemented a laying hens project with the main objective of providing several families in Agua Prieta with the knowledge and infrastructure necessary to carry out a good backyard production in the area of influence of our combined cycle plant of Naco Nogales.
Twenty-five chicken coops have already been built, benefiting thirty families in the community of Agua Prieta.
