Donation to firefighters (Sonora, Mexico)
Through the Hermosillo combined cycle power plant, the GPG Mexico team has donated hand and power tools to assist the Fire Corps in saving lives and providing emergency response.
This firefighting organisation has been serving the city of Hermosillo, home to around 900,000 people, since 1946. It is dedicated to rescue operations and actively promotes a culture of safety and prevention through training programmes.
During a donation ceremony, the head of the Hermosillo Fire Department thanked GPG Mexico for its continuous support over the years: “We appreciate your commitment and selflessness. Thank you so much!”
Cleaning of streams and roads in Ejido de la Manga (Sonora, Mexico)
To support the land cultivated in Ejido de La Manga, GPG Mexico has provided treated water for irrigation through the canals. Furthermore, the Hermosillo combined cycle plant allocated 188 hours of backhoe excavator time to effectively clean the canals within the parcelled area of Ejido de La Manga.
By engaging in this action, GPG is helping to develop productive land, showing their environmental commitment, and fostering stronger relationships with the neighbouring communities.
