We have agreed with the partner association Vecinos Dignos de Agua Prieta A.C. and the high school administrations to train the scholarship holders to implement social and productive projects in the region in the near future. Hence, from last week, through this year’s summer course, young people have been involved in different skills and equipped with various tools, such as teamwork, values, group management, active listening.
The 20 children who took part as counsellors (experience facilitators) in the summer course, repeated the experience with young people of their own age, supporting our local social managers in the teamwork activities.
In the rally we set the following objectives focused so the students who benefit from the Solidarity Day scholarship:
- Clearlyidentifytheoriginandpurpose of thescholarshiptheyarebenefitingfrom.
- Feelintegratedinto a network of youngscholarshipholders, wheretheycansharecommoninterestsandefforts to developprojects or activitiesthatbenefittheircommunity.
- Participate in a youthgroup of associatedindividuals (youthvolunteering) in whichtheyalso find a spaceforintegration, coexistenceandrecreation.
- Exchangeexperiences, perspectives, aspirationsandmotivationswithotheryoungpeople in an atmosphere of respect, toleranceandhealthycoexistence.
