Bií Hioxo undertakes reconstruction of homes following earthquake and various aftershocks

As part of its corporate responsibility policy, Bií Hioxo has made a commitment to help its owners and employees following the earthquake on the Isthmus of Tehuantepec in September. This support will be used to facilitate the reconstruction of homes following the earthquake that has been since followed by several aftershocks.

The beneficiaries will receive this support based on a report drawn up by Construction Site Managers, for assistance in both the purchase of material and furniture, as well as reconstruction workers.
In coordination with Guendaracane (a group made up of local psychologists), work is being carried out with people to alleviate the psychological consequences caused by the earthquakes and the resulting damage. 18 workshops have been held so far, attended by 220 people including employees, tenants, the Juchitán fire service and the local community.

Work to clear the rubble left by the earthquake and its aftershocks has also been carried out, benefiting 47 people directly as well as their neighbours. This rubble could have led to the development of respiratory diseases had it not been removed.

Bií Hioxo also contracted the service of the Construction Site Managers to examine up to 244 homes and provide people with detailed information on the damage caused to their properties.

Through these actions, Bií Hioxo Wind Farm is demonstrating its commitment to its owners, employees and the local community during this period of recovery, convinced that the people of Juchitán are more than strong enough to recover from this.
