Crookwell II Wind Farm enters period of test operation

Between June and mid-September, GPG will be running a period of test operations at the Crookwell II Wind Farm in Australia. Entry into commercial operation by the plant is scheduled for September this year.

The civil engineering work for the Australian wind farm was completed in April, which led on to the assembly of wind turbines in May. The wind farm consists of 28 turbines. Up to eight different components make up the wind turbine alone, reaching a height of 95 metres to the bushing. It is a large wind farm at which the wind turbines each span a diameter of 130 metres and reach a height of 160 metres from the ground to the end of the blades when vertical.
