“It is a pleasure to see people undertake this project with such enthusiasm. People in the community are benefiting from this great support”, said one local inhabitant.
The Tuxpan estuaries are highly valuable ecosystems for the country, and their natural wealth is incalculable. They are home to a wide range of flora and fauna, including birds, fish, insects and reptiles. Red, black and white mangroves also grow here.
By clearing the lilies and pests with specialised machinery, we are helping to improve water oxygenation and increase the natural light that penetrates into the estuary. This will benefit marine life and improve the well-being of all plants and animals living in the area.
Men and women from the local communities got involved in this great project and provided their support so the cleaning activities could be completed faster and more efficiently.
